National Literacy Electronic Media Programme

The National Literacy Electronic Media Programme is designed to provide more opportunities to reach low literate or functionally illiterate adults. Through the vehicle of a thirty-minute television broadcast entitled “Literacy For Life,” the programme provides numerous possibilities for learning and will allow adults to learn in the informal, non-threatening environment of their own homes. Adults will gain reading proficiencies and life skill strategies so that they may better fulfill their roles as parents, family members, workers and citizens.
